4.12 Approval of Conditions of Approval for a Site Development Permit <br />for a new residence, guest house and garage, Lands of Ahrens, 13711 <br />Old Altos Road <br />Abbie Ahrens, applicant, discussed the conditions and proposed modifications with <br />the Council. She noted that the driveway will be aesthetically appropriate with the <br />landscaping. She further commented that the financing was in place and they were <br />ready to proceed with the carriage house and the garage. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Dauber and <br />passed unanimously to approve the conditions of approval for a site development <br />permit for a new residence, guest house and garage for Lands of Ahrens at 13711 Old <br />Altos Road as recommended by the City Council at their meeting on September 1, <br />1993 and as amended at this meeting as follows: condition 10 shall include <br />placement of a dumpster, condition 20 shall address no fill under oak trees and the <br />first sentence of condition 21 shall read: "A restriction shall be required to be <br />recorded on the property prior to issuance of a building permit, clarifying that none <br />of the area in the proposed garage/solarium structure shall be allowed to be used as <br />a dwelling unit." <br />5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />5.1 Review and amendment of Resolution Establishing Standing <br />Committees -- Reso # <br />Council discussed the attendance at Council and Planning Commission meetings of <br />representatives from the standing committees. Should this be mandatory with a <br />rotating schedule established or should it be optional. Council did agree that each <br />standing committee should meet with the Council once a year to discuss and report <br />on goals, projects, accomplishments and concerns. It was further agreed to delete <br />the requirement for the committees to make written reports to the Council on a <br />regular basis. <br />Carol Gottlieb, Chairman - Pathways Recreation and Parks Committee, thought that <br />the comittee volunteers should attend the Council and Planning Commission <br />meeting and if this was included in the resolution they would be aware of this when <br />they applied for the committee. <br />It was agreed to add the recommendations from the Pathway Recreation and Parks <br />Committee as stated in their memo received 6/30/93 with the change to Section ii(a) <br />to read as follows: "The Pathways Recreation and Parks Committee will work for the <br />preservation and enhancement of the pathways."
