Minutes of an Adjourned Regular Meeting <br /> November 4, 1992 <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> City Council Meeting <br /> Wednesday, November 4, 1992, 4:30 P.M. <br /> Council Chambers, 26379 Fremont Road <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL <br /> Mayor Tryon called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 4:35 <br /> p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> Present: Mayor Tryon and Councilmembers Dauber, Hubbard, <br /> Johnson and Siegel <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff: City Manager Les M. Jones, 11, Director of Public Works <br /> Jeff Peterson, Town Planner Linda Niles and City Clerk <br /> Pat Dowd <br /> Press: None <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS BY THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER <br /> DISTRICT <br /> Stan Wolfe, Randy Tally, Scott Wilson and Steve Smith were present from <br /> the Santa Clara Valley Water District and addressed several items of interest. <br /> By way of background they explained that the District was formed in 1951 and <br /> the County was divided into five zones. Los Altos Hills was in the Northwest <br /> zone. The goal of the District was to solve flooding problems and erosion. <br /> They referred to their new brochure and explained the permit process. It was <br /> further noted that the Santa Clara Valley Water District would not maintain a <br /> creek they did not have title to unless it was an emergency situation. For <br /> Council's reference they had maps available at their office showing what <br /> creeks they had title to. Concerning FEMA it was pointed out that the Town <br /> had the primary relationship with FEMA and the Water District served as a <br /> technical advisor. The Town was in compliance with FEMA's policies by its <br /> 4IWNovember 4, 1992 <br /> Adjourned Regular Meeting <br /> 1 <br />
