The Director of Public Works noted that a condition had been added by the Planning <br /> fiar Commission regarding the near maximum development of this property. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously to add the following condition to the site development permit <br /> for Lands of Owen on Simon Lane: Grading or construction of the tennis court shall <br /> not commence until a letter signed by the future owner is on file requesting such <br /> construction. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously to concur with the Planning Commission's approval of the <br /> request for a site development permit for a new residence, swimming pool and <br /> tenths court at 13300 Simon Lane, subject to the addition of the following condition <br /> of approval to those conditions approved by the Planning Commission: Grading or <br /> construction of the tennis court shall not commence until a letter signed by the <br /> future owner is on file requesting such construction. <br /> 4.8 Request from Los Altos Fire Department for Weed Abatement on <br /> Certain Properties <br /> Tryon reminded everyone of the July 1, 1985 fire in the Town and the emphasis <br /> since then that the Town be as fire safe as possible by July 1st of each year. With the <br /> drought situation it was especially important to be aware of fire safety in the Town. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously to authorize the request from the Los Altos Fire Department <br /> for weed abatement on certain properties. <br /> 5. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> Barrie Freeman, 26922 Dezahara, stated his concerns about trail safety. In particular <br /> he noted the area around Westwind: no maintenance in eighteen months, poison <br /> oak overwhelming, tree house still there with debris and fence falling down. He <br /> also noted concerns about Altamont and slippery driveways on Natoma. Mr. <br /> Freeman commented that he would be glad to assist with a volunteer trail <br /> maintenance program. He also reminded everyone that the third annual Romp <br /> and Stomp was scheduled for July 21 at Hidden Villa. <br /> Council asked the City Manager to provide them with a periodic report on what <br /> paths are being worked on. <br /> Ruth Buneman, 12655 La Cresta, noted that she was a bicyclist rather than an <br /> equestrian but thanked staff for clearing the paths and trails that she used. <br /> June 19, 1991 <br /> 4 <br />
