Minutes of an Adjourned Regular Meeting <br /> July 3, 1991 <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> City Council Meeting <br /> Wednesday,July 3, 1991, 6:00 P.M. <br /> Council Chambers, 26379 Fremont Road <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Mayor Hubbard called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 6:07 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> Present: Mayor Hubbard and Councilmembers Casey, Johnson, Siegel <br /> and Tryon. <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff: City Manager Les Jones, II and City Clerk Pat Dowd <br /> Press: None <br /> 2. INTERVIEWS FOR PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> The City Council individually interviewed the four candidates for two <br /> positions on the Planning Commission. <br /> James Sinunu, 26635 Taaffe Road, commented that he had lived in the Town <br /> for two years and in Los Altos for thirteen. He was familiar with the area and <br /> wanted to get involved in the community. Mr. Sinunu commented on the <br /> importance of the Town's paths and the importance of adhering to the <br /> Town's height restrictions. He noted that subdivisions should not look like <br /> tract housing and the rural aspects of the Town should be encouraged. Mr. <br /> Sinunu believed the neighbors should be listened to and he stated that he was <br /> familiar with land use issues. <br /> Emily Cheng, 24595 Voorhees Drive, noted that she had been a resident of the <br /> Town for a long time and knew the area well. She at one time also worked <br /> for the County as a computer programmer. Mrs. Cheng believed neighbors' <br /> input should be heard and considered and that fairness was important. She <br /> also commented on the importance of ridgelines, not building to maximum <br /> development and the importance of neighborhoods. <br /> Edwina Comiso, 27933 Briones Way, stated that she believed that the Town's <br /> rights were before the developers' rights.
