Stan Kangas and Cynthia Richardson, Brian Kangas Foulk, were available to <br /> answer any questions Council might have. Mr. Kangas noted that they had <br /> provided consultant services to the Town since 1989 and were available to <br /> continue these services to the best of their ability and within the Town's <br /> needs. He did state that they needed to have a definition of the services <br /> required and the length of time for which they were needed in order for them <br /> to provide adequate staffing to the Town. <br /> PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To direct the City Manager to proceed with the <br /> hiring of a Town Planner at a salary range of$3,973 to$4,829; to state that if <br /> the City Manager hires the Planner at the fourth or fifth salary step it will <br /> need to come back to Council for approval; to continue with the contract with <br /> Brian Kangas Foulk for planning consulting services; to instruct the City <br /> Manager to get requests for proposals for the development handbook; and to <br /> wait until the new Town Planner was hired to review the General Plan. <br /> 3 CLOSED SESSION: PENDING LITIGATION: PURSUANT TO <br /> GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a) <br /> The City Council adjourned at 7:05 p.m. to a Closed Session on Pending <br /> Litigation and reconvened at 7:15 p.m. <br /> 5.
