MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel, seconded by Tryon <br /> and passed unanimously to introduce ordinance enabling modification of <br /> final maps. <br /> Tryon requested a report by the next meeting on the ramifications of adopting <br /> this ordinance. <br /> 8.2 Authorization for Geotechnical Evaluation of Altamont Road <br /> Tryon stated her concerns about Taaffe Road and questioned going ahead with <br /> Altamont and not Taaffe. The City Manager responded that Taaffe was <br /> scheduled to be done in 1991-1992. The Director of Public Works reported <br /> that a section of Taaffe was failing and he was concerned about the <br /> creation of a potential safety hazard. <br /> Casey asked if this project had gone out to bid and was advised that it had not. <br /> The Director of Public Works reported that the Town was getting a <br /> government rate from Wilsey and Ham. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Johnson <br /> and passed unanimously to authorize the City Manager to execute an <br /> agreement with the Town Geologist for the Geotechnical evaluation of the <br /> failure of Altamont Road and to appropriate $11,000 from the Street Fund <br /> for this project. It was specifically stated that this would not be named as a <br /> separate project. <br /> 8.3 Intergovernmental Council Appointments <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Johnson <br /> and passed unanimously to reappoint William Siegel as the Town's <br /> representative to the Intergovernmental Council for a two-year term from <br /> January 1, 1991 to December 31, 1992. <br /> 9. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES, SUB-COMMITTEES, AND <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS ON OUTSIDE AGENCIES <br /> 9.1 Safety Committee <br /> Tryon, who was Council liaison to the Safety Committee, commented that there <br /> seemed to be some misunderstandings between her and the committee. <br /> Originally there seemed to be some conflict between the Chairman of the <br /> December 5, 1990 <br /> 13 <br />
