CONSENT CALENDAR: (continued) : <br /> ihr <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by van Tamelen <br /> and passed unanimously to approve the minutes of the February 15, 1989 <br /> City Council meeting with the following amendment: page 7, Item H. 1 , <br /> insert following after Mr. Kaufman' s comments: 'Mayor Johnson made the <br /> following statement: 'That is absolutely out of order. . .Mr. Kaufman <br /> that is completely uncalled for, out of order and completely untrue <br /> and you damn well know it. ' <br /> 2 . Resolution # further amending the Town Budget for the fiscal <br /> year 1988-89 <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Casey, seconded by Tryon and <br /> passed unanimously to continue this item to the next meeting to allow <br /> the Finance Committee an opportunity to comment on the revised budget. <br /> 3 . Resolution # approving and authorizing execution of agreement <br /> for disposal of municipal solid waste between the Town of Los Altos <br /> Hills and International Disposal Corporation of California <br /> Siegel and Tryon questioned the definition of city in the contract <br /> before them and specifically asked whether or not the area east of 280 <br /> (San Antonio Hills) was covered by the contract with Los Altos or Los <br /> Altos Hills. They both expressed the importance of the map being <br /> clearly defined to avoid any confusion in the future. <br /> Joyce Hlava, representing International Disposal Corporation of <br /> California (BFI) and Deanna Roberts, representing Los Altos Garbage <br /> Company, explained the areas included in the contract before the <br /> Council and specifically noted that the area east of 280 (San Antonio <br /> Hills) was included in the Los Altos contract. Ms. Hlava also noted <br /> that Cupertino and Los Altos had approved their contracts and their <br /> company had actually been providing service since November when <br /> Mountain View closed their site. It was important to proceed with the <br /> completion of the contracts. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel , seconded by Tryon and <br /> passed unanimously to adopt Resolution #34-89 approving and <br /> authorizing execution of agreement for disposal of municipal solid <br /> waste between the Town of Los Altos Hills and International Disposal <br /> Corporation of California <br /> 4 . Resolution # accepting as completed the work of construction of <br /> improvements in Sewer Assessment District No. 11, authorizing final <br /> payment concerning such work and directing the City Clerk to file <br /> notice of completion <br /> The Acting City Manager noted that this item was not ready for <br /> adoption at this time and asked that it be continued. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Casey and <br /> passed unanimously to continue this item to the next Council Meeting. <br /> 5- 3/1/89 <br />
