I , Side II , 001-684 <br /> Mayor Casey called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 7:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> A. ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br /> Present: Mayor Casey and Councilmembers Johnson, Siegel, Tryon <br /> and van Tamelen <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff: City Manager Thomas Frutchey, City Attorney Frank Gillio, <br /> Director of Public Works Bill Ekern and City Clerk Pat <br /> Dowd <br /> Planning <br /> Comm: Edwina Comiso <br /> Press : Hazel Whitman, Peninsula Times Tribune <br /> B. INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION: <br /> In addition to Lee Patmore who had submitted a letter requesting <br /> reappointment to the Planning Commission, the following residents had <br /> submitted applications for appointment to the Planning Commission: <br /> Nancy Bavor, Jnyna C1arfre, LaVon Morton, Stephen Pahl and Michael <br /> Wise. Due to conflicting schedules the only applicant present was <br /> Stephen Pahl. However, it was noted that several applicants had been <br /> interviewed by the Council in May. *PRIDED BY COUNCIL 7/19/89 <br /> Mr. Stephen Pahl , 27431 Black Mountain Road, commented that he <br /> believed the planning process in the Town could be a positive one. He <br /> noted that the recent survey highlighted certain concerns of the <br /> residents such as the importance of the rural nature of the Town and <br /> he believed the Commission should address these concerns . Mr. Pahl <br /> stated that he had the time and energy to serve on the Planning <br /> + Commission and he believed he brought experience and knowledge to the <br /> s Commission. He also believed it was his way to contribute to the <br /> community. <br />
