Approval of Minutes : June 9 , 1988 (Special Meeting) <br /> D. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR: <br /> E. REPORT FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION: <br /> F. PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> G. OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Consideration of adoption of the 1988-89 budget and adoption of <br /> the resolution adopting the budget for fiscal year 1988-89 <br /> Council discussed the 6/21/88 staff report prepared by the City <br /> Manager, the proposed 1988-89 budget and the five-year fiscal <br /> projections. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Johnson, seconded by Casey and <br /> passed unanimously to adopt Resolution #63-88 adopting the budget for <br /> the fiscal year 1988-89 , including the following changes : 1) San <br /> Antonio Hills Annexation project was increased from $1 , 500 to $1, 750; <br /> 2) Deletion of the Chapin and Robleda intersection improvements from <br /> the Capital Improvement Budget; 3) Increase in the Tree/Landscape <br /> Program - outside contract, construction to $26 ,000; and 4) Cost of <br /> living increase of 4 . 1% for all employees. <br /> 2. Ordinance # providing for the establishment and granting of <br /> franchises or privileges for the construction, maintenance and <br /> operation of cable communication, or cable television systems, <br /> and further providing for the continuing regulation and adminis- <br /> tration of these franchises and the activities relative to them <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Casey, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously to waive further reading of ordinance. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Johnson, seconded by Casey and <br /> passed by the following roll call vote to adopt ordinance #323 <br /> providing for the establishment and granting of franchises or <br /> privileges for the construction, maintenance and operation of cable <br /> communication, or cable television systems, and further providing for <br /> the continuing regulation and administration of these franchises and <br /> the activities relative to them. <br /> AYES: Mayor Tryon and Councilmembers Casey and Johnson <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Siegel and van Tamelen <br /> -2- 6/21/88 <br />
