II, Side I, 001-396 <br />Mayor Fuh� called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />A. ROLL, CALL: <br />Present: Mayor FUhrman and Councilmemhars Dronkert, Tryon and van Tamelen <br />Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Rydell <br />Staff: City Clerk Pat Dud <br />I il• 1 � ...1 � 1 li 1 • • I � �� • II II � 11. 1 mMi. <br />Council had received five applications for appointment to the Planning <br />Commission plus letters from the three present Commissioners requesting <br />reappointment. No applications had heen received for committee appointments. <br />Council interviewed the following applicants: Theresa McDaniel, Jean Struthers, <br />Edward Fhaing, Arthur Lachenbruch, Carol Gottlieb, Leda Patmore and Judith <br />Bragg. Mr. Jenson was not present at the meeting. van Tamelen had prepared <br />a list of suggested questions to be asked of the applicants. These questions <br />included the following: why the resident was applying for the Commission?; <br />Did they have the time to serve on the Commission?; What experience did they <br />have? and their opinions on the following subjects: architectural control, <br />secondary dwellings, pathways, horses and roads. <br />Theresa McDaniel and Judith Bragg were the only two applicants presently not <br />on the Commission or on a Cannittee. Both indicated they would be interested <br />in serving on one of the Committees if they were net appointed to the Commission. <br />MUTTON SENfIDID Ata? CARRIED: Moved by Dronkert, seconded by Fuhnnan and passed <br />unan;mausly by all mmObers present to appoint Arthur Lachenbruch, Jean Struthers <br />and Edward Furling to the Planning Commission each for a term of four years. <br />Council thanked all those who had applied and congratulated those who were <br />appointed. In addition they hoped that applicants not presently serving on <br />oommittees would consider such an appointment. Mrs. McDaniel stated she would <br />be interested. As Mrs. Bragg was not present at this time, it was agreed to <br />send her a letter notifying her of committee vacancies. <br />
