City Attorney: <br />a) Brown Act Amendments (Planning Commission and <br />Committees) <br />The City Attorney reported that the amendments to the Brown Act <br />affected the Planning Commission and Town Standing Committees as <br />well as Ad Hoc Committees. He stated that he would prepare ap- <br />propriate resolutions for adoption by the Commission and Commit- <br />tees. <br />b) Code Enforcement - Authorization to Proceed <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Plummer, seconded by Siegel <br />and passed unanimously to authorize the City Attorney to seek <br />civil remedies to insure compliance in the following two matters, <br />if voluntary compliance is not met: Lands of Chan, 23531 E1 <br />Caminito and Lands of Dippel, 25381 La Rena, both involving grad- <br />ing without permits <br />3. City Clerk: Report on Council Correspondence <br />4. Council Business: <br />a) Air Quality ELements - Letter from Intergov- <br />ernmental Council Land Use Committee <br />Council noted that they supported the concept of an air quality <br />element in the Town's general plan when it was reviewed and sug- <br />gested that the letter from the Land Use Committee be kept on <br />file at Town Hall. <br />b) Volunteer Awards Committee - Appointments <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Dronkert, seconded by Tryon <br />and passed unanimously to appoint Mayor van Tamelen, Councilmem- <br />ber Plummer and Library Commissioner Judy Duque to the Volunteer <br />Awards Committee. Each of these appointments is for a two-year <br />term. <br />C) Proclamation: Drunk and Drugged Driving Week - <br />December 14-20, 1986 <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To proclaim December 14-20, 1987 'Drunk and <br />Drugged Driving Week' and to include an appropriate article in <br />the next Town Newsletter. <br />d) Newcomers' Packets <br />Tryon requested that a sample of the newcomers' packet be avail- <br />able to the Council for informational purposes. <br />-5- <br />
