I, Side 1, 001-360 <br />Mayor van Tamelen called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 3:35 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />Present: Mayor van Tamelen arid CounciInkm1bers Allison, Hillestad, Perkins and Proft <br />Absent: None <br />Staff: City Manager Am Hinshaw, City Planner John Carlson, City Attorney <br />Frank Gillio and City Clerk Pat Dowd <br />Planning <br />Corm: Michael Stewart <br />Press: Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos Town Crier <br />1. ki <br />Nan Fubzman , Chairman - Finance C=ittee, presented the 3/14/84 report of the <br />4br Finance Ccrmiittee which in part reconvended redesigning the Town 'a total bock - <br />keeping system before connecting to a computer system. <br />Louise Dronkert and Lewis Throop, Members - Finance Committee, reiterated the <br />need to streamline procedures and clearly define procedures. <br />Council considered the Finance Committee's report, the input they had previously <br />received concerning Atherton's system and the irmediate needs of the Town. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously to connect to the Atherton computer system. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CAR=: Moved by Allison, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously to inplemcryt access to the Atherton system by means of an IBM <br />ccupatible personal ccnputer with appropriate interface to emulate the terminal <br />software. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Perkins, seconded by Allison and passed <br />unanimously to proceed with developing an RF? for an accounting consultant. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously to ask Mr. Max Meyer to provide temporary accounting services until a <br />final decision is made regarding accounting services. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To direct staff to prepare the REP as seen as possible with <br />the assistance of the Finance Committee and send it to George Delucchi, Dennis <br />�W Lahr, Richard DeForest, Joanne Knight and any other suggestions the City Manager <br />might receive. <br />
