CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - May 16, 1984 <br />(( G. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (continued) <br />\I responded that he felt Dronkert's oannants were out of order. He had served the <br />Town continuously both on the Planning Commission and on the Council. If sane <br />CounciLrenberc felt they did not need the expense money they should speak for <br />themselves. Dronkert stated she would bring the matter of Council stipend and/or <br />expenses up during budget discussions. <br />MOTION SECONDED AMID CARRIED: Moved by van Tamelen, seconded by Allison and passel <br />by the following roll call vote to reinstate warrant #1294. <br />AYES: Mayor Allison and Councilmembers Dronkert, Fuhrman and van Tamelen <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAIN: Council.merriber Rydell <br />MIYTION SECONDED AMID CARRIED: Moved by Dronkert, seconded by Rydell and passed <br />unanvrously to reinstate warrants #1295 and 1296. (Dronkert noted that she would <br />return the $75 to the Town. ) <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRED: Moved by Dronkert, seconded by FUhnm and passed <br />unanimusly to approve the warrant list as amended: $14,420.26. <br />H. SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />1. Reports frau Standing Committees: none <br />2. Reports from Pd Hoc Co mittees: none <br />3. Reports from the Planning Coamission: <br />a) Recovendations regarding weed abatement <br />Cmirdssioner Steuart referred to the 5/10/84 mero which recvnmerded that alterna- <br />tive methods of weed abatement be studied and suggested the Tann develop a position <br />on preferred weed abatement practices consistent with the objectives as set forth <br />in the General Plan. Stewart agreed to ask Planning Commission for clarification of <br />remnmendation. <br />Cmmissioner Stewart referred to his letter of resignation from the Planning <br />Co mission effective July 1 and thanked the Council for the privilege of serving <br />on the Commission. He further conmerided Council on their excellent choices earlier <br />in the evening for the Planning Cartmission. Council thanked Cormissioner Stewart <br />for his service to the Town. <br />4. Co meets from the Council: <br />a) Allison: Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to the Town's <br />Crew, and Chairman of the Pathways and Roads & Drainage <br />Conlittees (on behalf of their cormitees) in honor of Public <br />Works Week. <br />b) Allison: 'Neighborhood Watch Month' <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Dronkert and passed <br />kaw unanimously to issue a proclamation declaring May 1984 as 'Neighborhood Watch Month' <br />-5- <br />
