CITY COUNCIL <br />TagN OF LOS ALTOS HELTC <br />26379 Fremont POad <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING* <br />Wednesday, March 2, 1983 <br />Mayor Perkins called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers at To.•mn Hall. <br />Present: Mayor Perkins and Councilmembers Allison, Hillestad, Pmft and vanTamelen <br />(Hillestad arrived at 7:40 p.m. and Mayor Perkins left the meeting at <br />7:50 p.m. due to illness) <br />Absent: Mayor Perkins after approximately 7:50 p.m. <br />Staff: City Manager Ann Hinshaw, City Engineer John Carlson, City Attorney <br />Frank Gillio, Planning Cannission Representative Richard Rydell and <br />City Clerk Pat Dowd <br />Press: Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos Town Crier; Fd Hering, San Jose Mercury; <br />Mary Duenwald, Peninsula Times Tribune <br />1. Matadem Creek Subdivision - Offers on lots and Related Matters <br />Council noted that item B.4a) on the Consent Calendar pertained to Matadero <br />Creek and agreed to remove that item frau the Consent Calendar and consider it <br />at this time during the meeting. <br />MOTION SECONDED AMID CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by Allison and passed <br />unanimously by all muenbers present (Hillestad not present) to adopt Resolution <br />#1526 rescinding Resolution #1516 concerning Lot 1, Tract 7187, Matadero Creek <br />Subdivision. <br />a) Lot #1 <br />Jackye Welfe, Fox & Carskadon, reported that she had received two offers on lot <br />first o er was m all cash offer of $211,500 with a closing date in <br />45 days. The second offer was an all cash offer of $211,500 with a close of escrow <br />ninety days or sooner. A discussion follaed concerning the contingencies of <br />both offers. <br />Mayor Perkins left the Council meeting due to illness. <br />MOTIOtN SECONDED AMID WITHDRAWN: Moved by Allison, seconded by Proft and withdrawn <br />to adopt the next resolution in order accepting the second offer on lot #1. <br />Council reconsidered the offers before then. The potential purchaser of lot #1 <br />who made the first offer agreed to increase his offered price by $5,000. Since <br />both potential purchasers were not present, Council agreed to give an additional <br />48 hours for resubmission of offers and to consider these offers at the next <br />.i1.
