V <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - June 1, 1983 <br />D. SPECIAL REPORTS (continued): <br />Mr. Charles Anderson, Or <br />Drive, asked if notices concerning the adoption <br />of such ordinances could be sent to all Tuan residents. Council responded <br />that while proper notification was made, it was far too expensive to notice <br />all residents. Mr. Anderson also expressed serious concerns regarding Barron <br />Creek; the matter needed to be addressed to avoid future problems. <br />Representative from Mueller Roofing camented that as a basic step residents <br />should place spark arresters in their chimneys and clear the brush on their <br />property. These were urportant fire prevention measures. <br />PASSED BY EDNSENSUS: To direct staff to review Ordinance #269 with considera- <br />tion given to the comients made by residents and.:to report back to Council. <br />C) Tot #10 Matadero Creek and Page Mill Road <br />Mr. Frank Saul, 27977 Via Ventana, asked for a report on the grading of Lot #10 <br />at Matadero Creek and questioned whether the Flood Control District was going <br />to be involved in the repair of Page Mill Road. In response it was agreed that <br />the City Engineer would send a letter to the owner's engineer of Lot #10 to <br />confirm that they were in ccnipliance with the approved grading plans. It oras <br />further noted by staff that the Flood Control District would not repair Page <br />Mill Road but this was an item in the capital improvements budget. <br />d) Budget Study Sessions <br />Louise Dronkert, 27431 Black Mountain Road, suggested residents plan to attend <br />the budget study sessions so they could better understand the financial restric- <br />tions of the Town. Mrs. Dronkert also cemented that residents could assist <br />in the maintenance of the 'Town's roads by cleaning up their awn areas. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: Council agreed on the following tines and dates for <br />Budget Study Sessions: Tuesday, June 7, 1983 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, June 10, <br />1983 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Councilman Perkins arrived at the City Council Meeting. <br />E. STAFF - REPORTS, OORRESPONDENCE AND ARDUNCEMENI1'S: <br />1. City Manager: <br />a) Solid Waste Management JPA Surcharge <br />The City Manager presented a status report on the JPA Surcharge. (Staff nano <br />on this subject dated 5/27/83 on file.) In part this report stated that to <br />date there was a balance of approximately $30,000 in this fund. Staff's reaanren- <br />dation was to retain the existing funds; however, other options were eliminating <br />the surcharge or considering it during the budget sessions. <br />-4- <br />
