CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - March 3, 1982 <br />B. CONSENT CALENDAR (continued): Item Removed: B.1. <br />1. Approval of Minutes: January 14, 1982, January 20, 1982 and February 3, 1982 <br />Proft noted that it was not the purpose of the minutes to include extensive <br />verbatim sections. Rather it was the policy to report on Council actions <br />taken at the meetings with brief simmaries of discussions as needed for clarifi- <br />cation. He further noted that the tapes of the meetings were kept on file for <br />a period of five years. if there were no substantive changes to what was <br />reported on the initially submitted minutes, Proft suggested deleting the ver- <br />batim comments and resubmitting the minutes for approval. <br />MOTION SEEDIIDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by Nystrom and passed une <br />imously by all members present to continue approval of the minutes to the next <br />Council meeting with the deletion of the verbatim addendum. <br />C. SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />1. Reports from the Standing comittees: none <br />2. Reports of Ad Hoc Committees: <br />McReynolds commended Mrs. Proft's brave and intelligent actions which resulted <br />in the apprehension of two persons suspected of burglary and assault upon a <br />resident of the Tann. <br />MDTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Perkins, seconded by McReynolds and passed <br />unanimously by all members present to adopt Resolution #1425 highly cc mending <br />Joanne Proft on her alert and calm actions during a tiro of great danger to <br />herself and other Los Altos Hills residents <br />3. Reports from the Planning Commission: none <br />4. Presentations frau the Floor: <br />Kenneth Yount/ 14740 Manuella Road, asked four questions of the Council con- <br />cerning the Matadero Creek Subdivision: 1) What were the developnent cost <br />s Of <br />the subdivision? 2) What was the exact interest rate the Town was paying on the <br />money advanced for the subdivision and was the bookkeeping being handled accu- <br />rately? 3) Hoa does the Town intend to pay the Palo Alto Unified School District <br />the account due if the sales of the lots do not occur? Mr. Young expressed con- <br />siderable doubts that the lots would sell in view of the present economic situa- <br />tion. 4) On what basis was it announced that the lots would sell for $300,000? <br />The City Manager responded that Mr. Young's questions would be answered in <br />writing. The City Manager did note however that a record of development costs <br />had been distributed to Council; various methods of payment were being discussed, <br />and m announcemnt had been made regarding the cost of the lots. A report on <br />the Matadero creek Subdivision would be on the agenda of a Council meting in the <br />very near future. <br />-2- <br />
