(A COPY Of this letter is on file at Town Hall.) <br />AyTION SECOIBED AkD CARRIED: Moved by Nystrom, seconded by McReynolds and <br />passed u,,,imously to direct staff to answer Mr. Conlon's questions regarding <br />Matadero Creek. <br />It was noted that the City Manager would be discussing the property during <br />the Council meeting and most of the questions could be addressed at that tim - <br />Mr. Conlon agreed to this with the request that he receive a response to <br />question number eight regarding the bids for contracts, procedures, etc, in <br />writing. <br />d no <br />Oscar sobeli,,2116 Christopbers' Lane , expressed his opinion that he ha <br />wn- 1clenoe ��111 -- — that all actions be postponed until <br />after the election. <br />D. STAFF - REPORTS, ODRRESP2PENCE AND AIMUNCN�UM <br />1. city Manager: <br />a) Matadero Creek Subdivision <br />The City manager presented his report on the Matadero Creek Subdivision to <br />the Council. This included a slide presentation, a brief backgrotu-,d of how <br />and why the Town purchased the property, the appraisal Procedure, a reoomm� <br />dation of terms, conditions and mii=um bids for the lots and an explanation <br />of the bid procedure. <br />willim Hughes, Assistant City AttOrnOY, noted that as stated in the City <br />Attorney's MeMO of March 15 the bidding procedure was a series of specific <br />steps which were mandated by law. <br />myPION SEODNDED AID CARRIED: Moved by Nystrom' seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously to adopt Resolution #1428 declaring the intention of the City of <br />the TOWn of Los Altos Hills to sell parcels of real property and calling for <br />scaled bids. <br />b) public 'Abrks Cam�iCatiOftS System <br />The City manager referred to his memo Of March 12 which included a compilation <br />Of bids for a public works communications system and a recommendation to <br />purchase the Motorola package on a lease/PurchaSs Plan - <br />council addressed several questions to the City Manager- Specifically, Perkins <br />questioned what it would cost to continue to use the present equipment even <br />though it had been pointed out that the systcm the Town had been on was not a <br />proper channel for the TOWn to Use- The City manager responded that it would <br />cost approximately $8-10r000 to update the equipment and then the Town May not <br />be able to use it. <br />-3- <br />
