I, Side II, 001-313 <br />Mayor <br />Perkins called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m, <br />in the Council Chambers of Tann Hall. <br />A. <br />ROLL CALL AM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br />Present: Mayor Perkins and Councilors Allison, Proft and van Tamelen <br />(Councilmanber Hillestad arrived at 8:30 p.m.) <br />Absent: None <br />Staff: City Manager Robert Crowe, Assistant City Attorney William Hughes, <br />Assistant Planner Pat Webb, Planning Commission Representative <br />Arthur Lachenbruch and Deputy City Clerk Pat Dawd <br />Press: Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos Town Crier; John Raess, Peninsula <br />Times Tribune and Fd Herring, San Jose Mercury <br />Planning Commission Interviews: continued to June 16, 1982 Council Meeting. <br />Deputy Jerry Franza addressed the Council on behalf of the Community Services <br />Department o Sheriffs Office. He outlined the following non -patrol <br />services which were available to the Town at no additional charge: burglary <br />prevention program (includes personal inspection of hrn s to suggest safety <br />measures); rape awareness program; block parent program; speakers bureau; ride - <br />along program and the neighborhood watch program. <br />Alma Wood, 12151 Stonebrook, noted that residents on Ialana had organized such <br />neighborhood watch meetings and it was agreed that Deputy Franza would contact <br />than to offer any assistance they might need. <br />B. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Items Removed: B.1 (Allison) and B.2 (Allison) <br />MOTION SEODNDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by van Tamelen and passed <br />unanimously by all members present to approve the balance of the Consent Calendar, <br />specifically: <br />3. Resolution for Adoption: <br />a) Resolution #1440 accepting with qualifications the ABAG "Housing Needs <br />Report" of December 1981. <br />
