CITY COUNCIL MCNUTFS - May 6, 1981 <br />B. CONSENT CALENDAR: Item B.5.f) continued: <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Nystroo, seconded by Hillestad and passed <br />unanimously to adopt Resolution #1350 approving the application for grant funds <br />under the Roberti-Z'berg Urban Open -Space and Recreation Program for the Byrne <br />Preserve Project. <br />1. Reports of Ad Hoc Cca rnittees: <br />Hillestad, Chairman of the Town's 25th Anniversary Go mi.ttee, reported that on <br />May 30, 1981 a family fun day was scheduled in celebration of the Town's Anniver- <br />sary. Joseph Dochnabl was in charge of the parade which was scheduled to begin <br />at 10:00 a.m. at Bullis School. Mayor Proft would be the Grand Marshall of the <br />parade and Hillestad asked hes fellow councilmenbers to also participate in the <br />parade by riding in one of the cars. <br />3. City Manager: <br />a) Public Safety Report <br />Robert Dennett Director of Public Safety, Rohnert Park, addressed the Council <br />and noted that he hal loped his report hal given the Council an overview of how <br />the public safety issue could be addressed. He was prepared to answer any ques- <br />tions Council might have regarding this issue. <br />Council did have several questions regarding this important issue and agreed to <br />schedule a study session for Tuesday, May 19 to specifically discuss the public <br />safety matter. Mr. Bennett was asked, and agreed, to be present for the meeting <br />on the 19th. <br />b) Request for additional appropriation of funds for printing/publication <br />of Town Booklet (continued from 9/1/81 meeting) <br />Perkins suggested that a letter signed by the Mayor be placed in the front of the <br />Booklet explaining its purpose, giving a date, etc. Proft also mentioned that he <br />bad some editing changes regarding the Booklet. It was agreed that Council should <br />sulmit any changes they had regarding the Booklet to staff by May 15, 1981. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hillestad, seconded by Nystrom and passed <br />unanimously to approve an additional appropriation of $3,000 for the printing/ <br />publication of the Town Booklet. <br />-3- <br />
