CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - July 13, 1981 <br />D. <br />E. <br />STAFF - REPORTS, CORRESPONDENCE AMID ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. City Manager: <br />a) Status Report: <br />The City Manager reported that the Matadero Creek Subdivision was on schedule. <br />The engineer was preparing all the plans and specifications and the final map <br />should be going to Council the first meeting in August. The City Manager <br />would be preparing a memo regarding the marketing of the land. <br />b) Newsletter: <br />The City Manages referred to his memo of 7/9/81 which noted that of the cities <br />surveyed none had a policy statement for their newsletters. Perkins expressed <br />strong support for having a defined policy statement for the Town's newsletter. <br />Council discussed Generally what such a policy statement should include: ground - <br />rules for the newsletter; non-political; items of general public information. <br />Council asked staff to prepare such a policy statement for their consideration. <br />c) I.G.C. (Intergover[mental Coancil) <br />The City Manager noted that this was an informational item at this time. As a <br />brief history the City Manager stated that the IGC was formed four years ago <br />when the County Board of Supervisors put a charter amendment before the public. <br />Originally the IGC was funded by the County; however, the County was no longer <br />able to continue this funding and would be asking each of the cities to contribute <br />to IGC. It was the City Manager's recommendation that the Council not grant <br />this funding when the request was received from the County. <br />d) Budget Hearings: <br />Council set the date of Tuesday, July 21, 1981 at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers <br />for a Budget Study Session. <br />2. Report from Medfly Coordinator: <br />pat Webb Medfly Coordinator, reported to Council that there had been outstanding <br />crooperation on the part of the Town's residents. In addition to the work being <br />done by the Town's crew, support was being received from the California Conser- <br />vation Corps and the National Guard. Los Altos Garbage had placed two dunpsters <br />in Town to be used for the deposit of fruit. Aerial spraying would begin in <br />the Town Tuesday morning, July 19th, at 2:00 a.m. <br />SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />1. Public Hearings: <br />a) Request for Tentative Map approval, LANDS OF WIDMAN, File TM #13-80 <br />MOTION SECONDED AMID CARRIDD: Moved by Nystrom, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously by all members present to adopt the Negative Declaration, LANDS OF <br />WIDMAN, File TM #13-80. <br />-2- <br />
