CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - August 5, 1981 <br />( C. SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />!I 1. Reports of Standing Commnittees: none <br />2. Reports of Ad Hoc Connittees: <br />Hillestad noted that there should be a meeting of the Ad Hoc 25th Anniversary <br />Coanittee the end of the month to discuss plans for the October Event at <br />Westwind. <br />3. Reports from the Planning CCmTftission: <br />Planning Commissioner Dochnahl reported that the Planning Commission had agreed <br />to keep control of the Design Review Ccmittee with the guidance of the City <br />Engineer and with outside counsel as needed. <br />4. City Manager's Report: <br />a) Sanitary Landfill area <br />The City Manager reported that possible sites were becoming quite scarce and <br />the costs were becoming very expensive. In the near future he hoped to have at <br />least a rough estimate of the purchase cost for a disposal site. This project <br />was being discussed in conjunction with the plans of the JPA regarding a resource <br />recovery facility. The City Manager wou:.0 report to Council as soon as he had <br />additional information. <br />b) Mediterranean Fruit Fly <br />The City Manager noted that the California Conservation Corps had been in Toon <br />since August 4, 1981 to assist senior citizens and handicapped residents in <br />stripping their fruit. <br />2. City Engineer's Report: <br />a) LANDS OF OSRAY, File CDP #8029-79 <br />At approximately 7:45 p.m. Councilman McReynolds arrived. <br />The City Engineer reported that since the nublic hearing had been scheduled at <br />the City Council, the Planning Commissio., had reevaluated the conditions of CUP <br />#8029-79 and had found the owner to be in a - l.iance. <br />WrION SENNDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hillestad, seconded by McReynolds and <br />passed unanimously by all members present to table the public hearing for LANDS <br />OF OSRAY, File CUP #8029-79. <br />-2- <br />
