CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - October 21, 1981 <br />SPECIAL REPORTS (continued): <br />4, Presentations from the Floor: <br />Mr. Geor e Seidman, Board M.anber 'Los Altos Hills Association, presented <br />to the Council a letter and a package of survey forms and survey cards which <br />the Association had distributed to residents concerning the Public safety <br />issue. Speaking for the Association, Mr. Seidman demanded that no further <br />action or expenditure by the council be taken until an election by the Town <br />voters. A COPY of this letter dated October 20, 1981 and the survey forms <br />and cards are available at Town Hall. <br />D. STAFF -REPORTS, CORRESPOMENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. City Manager: <br />a) Resolution # approving and authorizing execution of an <br />agreement between the City of the Town of Los Alms Hills and <br />Alan G. Lambert <br />The City Manager reported that at the direction of the Council the 10.8+ acres <br />on Moody Road had been appraised. In view of the amount of the appraisal and <br />the funds available to the Town to purchase the land, the agreement before <br />Council was for a portion of the land, namely 3.1 acres. Negotiations would <br />continue with Mr. Lambert for the remaining lands. The City Manages noted <br />that this property was of particular interest to the Town because of its <br />proximity to Byrne Preserve and its delicate ecological setting. <br />NOTION SECOIDED AM CARRTFD: Moved by Nystrom, seconded by Hillestad and <br />Passed unanimously to adopt Resolution #1389 approving and authorizing execu- <br />tion of an agreement between the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills and <br />Alan G. Lambert <br />E, SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />Orditle 4 of the Los A] tos <br />1. <br />entitled #272 Public Safety" ndinq T 1 <br />by adding thereto Chapter71municipal <br />entitled "Skates <br />and Skateboards" <br />yMION SF.COMED RNID FATE : Moved by Perkins, seconded by McReynolds and <br />failed by the following roll call vote to waive further reading of Ordinance <br />AYES: Mayor Proft and Councilmambers McReynolds, Nystrom and Perkins <br />NOES: Councilwoman Hillestad <br />Mayor Proft read Ordinance #272. <br />Marc Kaufman, 14100 Donelson Place, asked Council who would enforce this <br />Ordinance? <br />Joseph Dochnahl 27980 Central Drive, expressed his opinion that this was <br />meed a very dangerous situatron rn Town. He stressed the importance of <br />adopting Ordinance #272. <br />�,r * Louise Dronkert, 27431 Black mountain Road, asked the City Manager to cease <br />1 expe Itures o un s or p is sa e and further asked the Council to <br />rescind Resolution #1354 which created a public safety department for the City <br />of the Town of Los Altos Hills and established the date for its activation. <br />-4- <br />
