II, 001 -End <br />Mayor Thomas McReynolds called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />7:33 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall. <br />A. ROLL CALL & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br />Present: Mayor McReynolds and Councilmembers Hillestad, Nystrom, Perkins and Proft. <br />Absent: None. <br />Staff: City Manager Robert Crowe, City Attorney Frank Gillio, City Engineer <br />John Carlson, Planning Commission Representative Michael Kuranoff and <br />Deputy City Clerk Susan Buttler. <br />Press: Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos Town Crier. <br />B. CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman <br />roft and passed unanimously to approve the entire Consent Calendar, specifically: <br />1. Approval of Minutes: September 5, 1979 <br />2. Approval of Warrants: $22,527.94. <br />3. Time Extension Requests: <br />a) Granting time extension to October 31, 1979 for Planning Commission con- <br />sideration, LANDS OF MELCHOR, File TM #2100-79. <br />b) Granting time extension to October 31, 1979 for Planning Commission con- <br />sideration, LANDS OF HILLESTAD, File TM #2095-79. <br />4. Resolutions for Adoption: <br />a) Resolution #1235 amending Resolution #1020 establishing rules for travel <br />expense reimbursement. <br />b) Resolution #1236 formalizing the procedure for reimbursement of certain <br />expenses to Planning Commissioners. <br />C. SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />1. Reports of Standing Committees: None <br />2. Reports of Ad Hoc Committees: None <br />3. Reports from the Planning Commission: None <br />4. Presentations from the Floor: <br />Mrs. Goldsmith, Historical Society, told of the Society's wish to plant an amber tree <br />at nza Park in memory of Mrs. Gould's son and thanked the Council for their cooperation <br />with this matter. She further stressed the need for maintaining of the plants at the <br />Park and suggested that, perhaps, plants needing less water be considered. She also <br />suggested the installation of a bench which might be accomplished by a resident, Mr. <br />Brubaker, who has experience of this nature. Councilmembers commended Mrs. Goldsmith. <br />
