Council continued to proceed with <br />the meetinq at 8:35 P.M. <br />HELD OVER FRO'O CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />3. Resolution # setting time and place for Public Hearing on proposed <br />road abandonment (Elena Road): <br />City Attorney Frank Gillio advised Council that this Resolution was for the <br />purpose of setting a time and place for a public hearing on the abandonment <br />of a portion of Elena Road which would set such time as the second Council <br />meeting in March. lie said this matter had been considered at a previous <br />meeting and at that time was continued. Mr. Gillio recommended adoption of <br />the resolution. <br />Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Councilman Cheney and unanimously <br />carried by roll call vote to adopt Resolution #934 setting the time and place <br />for the public hearing on the proposed abandonment of a portion of Elena Road <br />for the second meeting in March at 7:30 P.1. <br />D. STAFF REPORTS, CORRESPOP!9EPICEE_A ANNOUN D!, i_FS: <br />1. City .Attorney: Litigal�ion Report: ' <br />[1r. Cillio reported that a law suit had been filed against the Town i }iei=int« <br />the former City 3lanager, City Engineer Alex Russell, and lir. Cillio. He noted <br />that, to date, he had been the only person served. lie stated that the matter <br />had been referred to the Town's present insurance carrier and the Town's <br />previous insurance carrier. lie requested that Council go on record to provide <br />a defense for Staff members should it become necessary. <br />Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Councilwoman Miller and carried <br />unanimously by roll call vote to provide a defense for the Staff members <br />iwd+etecLin the subject lawsuit. <br />E. SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />E 1. Award of Traffic Safety Contract for a Traffic Control Device Inventory: <br />Mr. Russell presented the background concerning this subject, noting the <br />number of proposals received by the Town, the prices quoted by each Traffic <br />Ennineering firm. <br />
