`, CITY COUNCIL <br />TONN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />26379 Fremont Road <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING <br />`lednesday May 16, 1975 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Stanley Grabowski called the regular meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 4:00 P.H. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall: <br />A. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Councilmen Cheney, Helgesson, Councilwoman Miller, Mayor <br />Grabowski <br />Absent: Councilman McReynolds <br />Staff: City Manager Robert Crowe, City Engineer Alex Russell <br />Press: Mr. J. Johnson, Palo Alto Times <br />B. ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSALS: <br />1. Traffic Survey - Identification and Surveillance Proposals <br />In conjunction with the Traffic Safety Grant, Mr. Crowe said that requests <br />for proposals had been forwarded to eight Traffic Engineering firms in <br />the Bay Area. He read the proposals received for Council information. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilwoman Miller moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Helgesson and unanimously carried to accept the proposal of Tr1M, Walnut <br />Creek, low bidder, in the amount of $13,100, pending approval of the Office <br />of Traffic Safety. <br />C.OF BID: <br />1. Street Improvement Project: <br />Mr. Crowe read the bids received at the bid opening at 2:00 P.M. this <br />date, and noted that Cunningham Grading and Paving, 1124 Independence <br />Ave, Mtn. View, had submitted the lowest bid. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the firms qualifications and ability to <br />perform the work required. <br />Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Councilwoman Hiller, to award the <br />Street Improvement Project to Cunningham Grading and Paving. Motion carried <br />by the following roll call vote: <br />AYE: Councilmen Cheney. Helgesson, Councilwoman Miller <br />NO: Mayor Grabowski <br />ABSENT: Councilman McReynolds - <br />ABSTAIN: HONE <br />
