CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - June 19, 1974 <br />2. Approval of Warrants: $46,815.72 <br />In response to a question by Councilman Helgesson, Mr. Lawson explained <br />that the warrant payable to Land Resources was a reimbursement of a <br />double payment made by them with regard to the Matadero Oaks Subdivision. <br />3 a) Approval of application and amendments for Shalom Acres Stables: <br />Council agreed to postpone this matter so Councilman McReynolds could <br />participate in the discussion later in the evening. <br />3 b) This item was removed completely from the Agenda in that no action <br />was required by Council on the matter. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Council- <br />woman Miller that the CONSENT CALENDAR be approved as amended, and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />C. SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />1. Traffic and Public Safety Committee: <br />Chairwoman Irma Goldsmith reported on actions taken by the Committee at <br />their last meeting. She also suggested that Council consider that new <br />members appointed to Committees who have not had a chance to become <br />acquainted with the charges be appointed with a "no vote" status in order <br />to give them a chance to familiarize themselves with matters under <br />consideration. Mayor Grabowski asked Mrs. Goldsmith to submit her <br />suggestion to Council in writing for consideration at the Council meeting <br />of July 17, 1974. <br />Mrs. Goldsmith reported on a new system of record keeping the Committee <br />had begun regarding areas in the Town where accidents occurred, and where <br />there were burglary incidents. The records cover a period of three years <br />and will allow the Committee to spot trouble areas which could be studied <br />and appropriate recommendations made. She said the records would be <br />available for individual members of Council to review, and said that any <br />comments or suggestions Council might have for the Committee would be <br />appreciated. She informed Council of the status of the discussions held <br />relative to a traffic survey being made within the Town, which was <br />continued to their next meetinq. <br />2. Presentations from the Floor: <br />a) Mrs. T. Schick, Weston Road: <br />Asked for clarification of Adobe Creek Lodqe property insofar as it <br />was designated in the General Plan. City Attorney responded to Mrs. <br />Schick's questions. <br />
