Presentations from the Floor: <br />a) Mr Donald Spencer Chairman Planning Commission: Directed Council's <br />attention to an article appearing in the PALO A�—LTO T3MES on Oct. 2rd, <br />in which an article noted that the City of Pao i'io was considering the <br />widening of Page Mill Road from IS 280 to Skyline Boulevard. <br />Mavor Grabowski requested the City Managcr to meet with Palo Alto on <br />this proposal and report back to Council at their next meeting. <br />Councilwoman Miller brought to Council's attention a traffic problem at the <br />intersection of Page Mill Road and Alexis Drive where the road had been paved <br />to go around a large tree. It was the consensus of Council that this matter be <br />referred to the Traffic and Public Safety Committee and that a report be made <br />to Council at their next meeting. Mr. Crowe was directed to notify the Com,iittee <br />of the problem prior to their next scheduled meeting of October 8th. <br />D. STAFF REPORTS, CORRESPONDENCE & ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. City Manager: <br />a) Mr. Crowe reported a communication had been received from Mr. H. <br />Reiser requesting Council clarification of a condition on the approved <br />Check List on his tentative subdivision map. Council scheduled the <br />matter for hearing at the meeting of October 16, 1974. <br />b) Mr. Crowe informed Council of the work the Maintenance Crew are <br />doing to save a tree in Matadero Creek and asked Council's policy on <br />shoring up trees in creeks. He noted the tree in question was on private <br />land and the drainage easement had never been accepted by the Town. <br />After discussion, Council consensus was to direct Staff to notify all <br />property owners along Matadero Creek that they were responsible <br />for the maintenance of the Creek throuoh their property. Staff was <br />also directed to research which easements had been accepted by the Town. <br />E. SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />1. Williamson Act Application: Thomas P. & Barbara McReynolds. <br />Mr. Crowe reported the Town had received an application on behalf of the <br />above to have 3.376 net acres of land under a Williamson Act contract between <br />Mr. and Mrs. McReynolds and the Town. The property is located north of <br />Chaparral Way. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Motion was made by Councilwoman Miller, seconded by <br />Councilman Cheney to adopt Resolution #323 accepting the Williamson Act Contract. <br />Motion carried by the following roll call vote: <br />-2- <br />
