CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />26379 Fremont Road <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING <br />November 15, 1974 <br />cc: Reel 73 - Side 1, Tr. 1 - 001-793 <br />Mayor Stanley Grabowski called the Special Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 7:35 P.M. in the Council Chamber of Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road: <br />A. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Councilmen Cheney, Helgesson, McReynolds, Mayor Grabowski <br />Absent: <br />Councilwoman <br />Miller <br />Staff: <br />City Manager <br />Robert Crowe, <br />Deputy <br />City Clerk <br />Norma Hislop <br />Press: None <br />B. CURRENT BUSINESS: <br />The Mayor announced the purpose of the Special Meeting, specifically to <br />meet and talk with candidates who were seeking the Fifth District Seat <br />on the Board of Supervisors in order to choose that candidate for Council's <br />endorsement who appeared best able to represent the needs of the Town <br />before that body. <br />He also announced that Councilwoman Miller had disqualified herself from <br />voting at this meeting since she had already personally endorsed a <br />candidate, but would be in attendance later in the evening. <br />The Mayor commented that each candidate would be given the opportunity to <br />state their qualifications and views before Council and the public, after <br />which, Council and any interested person could ask specific questions of <br />each candidate. Those appearing this evening in order of their presentation <br />before Council were: <br />Mr. Peter Lewis, Los Altos <br />Mrs. Audrey Fisher, Los Altos <br />Mrs. Enid Pearson, Palo Alto <br />Mrs. G. Steinberg, Los Altos <br />Mr. William Kimes, Mountain View <br />Mr. Terry Trumbull, Palo Alto <br />After the appearance of the final candidate, a short recess was declared <br />so that Council could study and review the applications and statements. <br />
