MINUTES <br />of <br />CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br />TUESDAY - JANUARY 30, 1973 <br />LOS ALTOS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />IN ATTENDANCE: DEPUTY MAYOR MARY DAVEY <br />COUNCILMAN DIANA MILLER <br />COUNCILMAN LEE KUBBY <br />CITY MANAGER BRUCE LAWSON <br />PURPOSE OF MEETING: A JOINT STUDY SESSION WITH THE LOS ALTOS CITY COUNCIL <br />TO DISCUSS THE EL RETIRO PRCPERTY <br />Meeting was called to order at 8:05 P. M, by Los Altos Mayor Lee Toole. Conslderable <br />discussion took place regarding land use and zoning of property adjacent to the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills with specific emphasis on the EI Retiro property. It was <br />pointed out that Los Altos' basic zoning Is 3-5 dwelling units per acre. Los <br />Altos feeis that It Is no concern of Los Altos Hills whether dwelling units are <br />single family detached or cluster type. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P. M., with Councilmen Davey, Miller, and Kubby <br />urging the City of Los Altos not to make any final decision on the use of the <br />EI Retiro property until the planning firm of Llvingston-Blayney complete their <br />review of the Los Altos General Plan.
