4W CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - October 8, 1973 <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: There being no corrections to the Minutes <br />of September 19, Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Miller and carried that the Minutes be approved as presented. <br />AYE: Councilman Grabowski, Councilwoman Miller, Mayor Helgesson. <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmen Cheney and McReynolds. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by <br />Councilwoman Miller, and carried unanimously that the Minutes of the <br />Adjourned Meeting of September 25, 1973 be approved as presented. <br />2. Warrants: <br />Councilman Grabowski, Councilwoman Miller and Councilman Cheney questioned <br />individual warrants. <br />City Manager, Mr. Bruce Lawson, stated that two Warrants appearing on the <br />list had been voided, reducing the total of Warrants to $:2,429.37. <br />Council also agreed that, where possible in the future, the Warrant List <br />would indicate the Accounting charge number. <br />` MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by <br />Councilwoman Miller and carried unanimously to approve the revised Warrant <br />List totaling $12,429.37. <br />C. <br />PPKENTATIONS FROM <br />THE <br />FLOOR: <br />1. <br />Mrs. Ann 6eMnstein <br />Leaoue <br />of Women Voters <br />Read her letter addressed to Mayor and City Council requesting the <br />City Council to take a stand against Proposition 1. <br />Mayor Helgesson commented that this subject had come up at the Meyor's <br />meeting during the I.C.C. meeting of October 4th, and he asked Council <br />if they wished to take a stand for or against Proposition 1. <br />After a general discussion, most Councilmen felt they would not like <br />to stand for or against Prop. I until they had heard both sides of <br />the arguement. Therefore, Staff was instructed to request that a <br />proponent of Prop. 1 be invited to the next Council meeting and, if <br />possible, a Prop- <br />osition also. Mrs Mildred Gallo, Los Altos Hills Association <br />Requested that the LAM Association be permitted to retain a key to <br />Council chambers instead of having to sign out for one each month. <br />-2- <br />
