UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 5: (CONT'D) <br />MOTION, SECCNDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Helgesson and carried by majority vote (Councilman Grabowski abstaining) <br />that the proposed amendment to the "Santa Clara County General Plan - Park <br />and Recreation Element" be recommended to the Board of Supervisors for ap- <br />proval, and that the Town of Los Altos Hills also recommend to the Board of <br />Supervisors that a measure be placed on the June Ballot for a Charter change <br />to allow 10:16 of the tax rate to be set aside for acquisition of open space, <br />rather than the alternate proposed bond issue. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 6: <br />ACCEPTANCE CP GRANT DEEDS OF BASEMENTS AND SEWER FACILITIES IN THE AREA <br />SERVED BY THE LOS ALTOS SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT. <br />Staff reported that this sewer district was handled by Santa Clara County, <br />and noted that a part of it lies within the Town of Los Altos Hills (Summer- <br />hill Area). The Town Engineer noted that construction had been completed, <br />and recommended acceptance of the easements for sewer lines and the sewer <br />facilities that were constructed. Council discussion concurred with Staff's <br />recommendation. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Corbett, and carried by unanimous roll -call vote that the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills accept the grant deeds of easements for sewer lines of r„ <br />... _o L^�;1,. as well as the sewer facilities constructed therein. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 7• <br />REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO HAVE A POPULATION ESTIMATE MADE BY THE STATE <br />DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE. <br />Staff recommended that this annual population estimate be made by the State <br />Department of Finance which, although it costs $200, will result in approxi- <br />mately $20000 additional revenue. <br />Council concurred to hear Resolution No. 655, requesting the population esti- <br />mate under "Resolutions", below. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 8: <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />1. City Manager noted the codification books had been received and distri- <br />buted. <br />2. Mr. Fritschle requested permission to be absent March 8th through the <br />10th, to attend the Annual City Manager's Meeting in San Diego, and that <br />the City Clerk -Treasurer act in his capacity during his absence. Council <br />concurred. <br />3. City Clerk reminded Council candidates that they must file Qualification <br />Statements by February 17, 1972. <br />- 5 - <br />
