CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF IAS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />March 6, 1972 <br />REEL 42 Side 1 Track 1 00 -End <br />Side 2 Track 1 00-160 <br />Mayor Walter A. Benson called the regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:47 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members <br />answering roll calls Presents Councilmen Corbett, Grabowski, Helgesson, <br />and Mayor Benson. Councilman Davey arrived at 7:50 P.M. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRSSENTATTVEs Commissioner Perkins <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of December 20, 1971. Councilman Helgesson <br />moved, seconded by Corbett and carried unanimously that the minutes of Dec. <br />20, 1971 be approved with the following correction on page 4: Under Presenta- <br />tions from the floor, Item I. Change Mrs. J. M. Eastman to Mrs. W. M. Eastman. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1. Mr. R. D. Scott, painting contractor, requested hearing before Council <br />re: requirement for all contractors to obtain business license. Council <br />concurred to agenda the request when Mr. Scott desires. <br />2. Foothill Youth Symphony Association requested sponsorship of one or aAre <br />musicians for a forthcoming trip. Staff was requested to reply, noting <br />4W such sponsorship was not a Town practice. <br />3. Santa Clara County Planner Arthur Ogleby advised of Park Directors' Meet- <br />ing concerning the Conservation Element of County General Plan and re- <br />quested Town representation at this "Urban Vegetative Resources" committee <br />hearing. Staff was requested to contact Messrs. Dick Koon or Bob Stutz <br />to .determine if either or both wished to attend. <br />4. Copy of letter from Mr. D. Spencer commending the Sheriff's Department. <br />5. Mr. and Mrs. S. Boborickans 25920 Moody Road, expressed objections to <br />invasion of privacy caused by trail crossing Rhus Ridge Subdivision. <br />6. Wall Street Journal article on enginving valuables as a deterrent to theft. <br />7. LNFCO advised of 3/15/72 Sphere of Influence hearing for Los Altos Hills/ <br />Cupertino, and 4/5/72 Sphere of Influence hearing for Los Altos Hills/ <br />Palo Alto. <br />8. San Jose Councilman W. B. Hayes expressed his objection to San Felipe <br />project. <br />9. Mr. D. H. Ewing, 25710 Deerfield Drive, expressed objection to Public <br />Protection Commission res formation of a Town Police Department. <br />10. Palo Alto advised of hearing 3/8/72 on their Open Space Element. <br />NW 11. Saratoga Youth Commission urged support of implementation of the Inter - <br />County Bike Route. Council referred this request to the Pathway Committee <br />12. League of Calif. Cities advised of new FCC regulations effective 3/31/72 <br />on CATV franchises. <br />
