L <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING <br />August 8, 1972 <br />Mayor Helgesson called the adjourned meeting of the City Council of the Town <br />of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:45 P.M.in the Council Chambers of the Town <br />Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California, with the following <br />menbers answering roll call: Present: Councilmen Davey, Grabowski, Kubby, <br />Miller and Mayor Helgesson. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE: Commissioner Perkins. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 3: <br />REPORT FROM PATHWAY COMMITTEE. <br />Mr. Robert Stutz, Chairman of the Pathway Committee, referred to his recent <br />letter to the Council and asked if there were any questions about the pro- <br />posed horse ring on the south end of the Los Altos Hills Youth RCCiLation <br />Center, on Purissima Road. Discussion followed with questions from the <br />Council and audience regarding financing, construction, liability and super- <br />vision of the activities connected with the ring. <br />The Horsemen's Association offered to provide the labor and a portion of the <br />cost of material to construct this facility. The City Council indicated <br />their approval, in concept, of such a proposal. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kubby to refer this back to the Pathway <br />Committee and the lorsemen's Association for more study. The motion died <br />for lack of a second. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Grabowski <br />and carried by unanimous vote to approve of this proposal, in concept, and <br />ask that the Horsemen's Association present a detailed proposal to the Plannil <br />Commission dealing with the points raised at this meeting. <br />Mr. Max Brown of the Little League Board of Directors, asked that the July <br />243 1972 letter from the Little League referred to earlier, be read into the <br />record to clarify that they are not asking the Town to take over the mainten- <br />ance of the Little League Area, but only to do whatever the Town could do to <br />improve the safety of the area and grant permission to have a floodlight <br />installed on an existing pole. <br />Mayor Helgesson reported that Mrs. Pat Standring has resigned from the Path- <br />way Committee, and no appointment should be made until the report from the <br />"Reorganization Committee" is received and adopted. <br />
