COMMUNICATIONS (Cent.) <br />Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by Mayor Helgeeeon to not hesitate, but to <br />give the Town 'a support. <br />Councilman Davey discussed the PPC's annual arrangement and felt the City <br />Council should postpone any action until the final arrangements with HUD are <br />more clear. Councilman Miller requested Commissioner Spencer to give his view- <br />point on the resolution and Commissioner Spencer stated that the arrangements <br />are rather vague. Commissioner Spencer went on to say he agreed with <br />Councilmen Davey in that more information should be obtained before making any <br />decision on this resolution. <br />MOTION by Councilman Miller, seconded by Davey to table the City of Sunnyvale's <br />Resolution No. 282-72 until more information is available FAILED by the following <br />roll call vote: AYES: Councilman Davey and Miller, NOES: Councilman Grabowski <br />and Mayor Helgeeeon, ABSENT: Councilman Rubby. <br />MOTION by Councilman Grabowski, seconded by Mayor Helgeeeon to support the <br />City of Sunnyvale in their Resolution No. 282-72 FAILED by the following roll <br />call vote: AYES: Councilman Grabowski and Mayor Helgeaeon, NOES: <br />Councilman Davey and Miller, ABSENT: Councilman Eubby. <br />Due to the split vote, no action was taken by the Council at this time. <br />2. Pacific Telephone and Telegraph sent a letter which expressed their open door <br />policy on the Santa Clare County United Fund. <br />E 3. A copy of a letter was read from Pearl Duhamel which argued against the closing <br />` of the after school program in the schools this coming year. <br />4. A letter was read from Howard Stokes appealing the Planning Commission's denial <br />for his variance for tennis court and which asked that this item be agended for <br />the September 19, 1972 Council meeting. <br />5. A notice from the Airport Land Use Commission was received asking for comments <br />on their report "Regional Airport System Study". <br />6. Mayor Helgeaeon read a letter from the American Society Sona of the American <br />Revolution announcing their 185th Anniversary and requesting the Town to <br />issue a proclamation to this effect. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. The City of Mountain View announced a study session covering HUD's proposal for <br />the annual arrangement program for Santa Clara County was to be held Monday, <br />September 25, 1972 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mountain View City Cuuncil Chambers. <br />2. A letter from Pacific Gas and Electric Co, notifying the Town of their request <br />before the Public Utilities Commission to revise their gas service rate. <br />3. The City of Palo Alto extended an invitation to attend their inaugural progaam <br />September 16, 1972, 10:00 P.M. at Mitchell Park for the implementation of an <br />t Urban Bicycle Route System in Palo Alto. <br />�r 4.
