CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HIILS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />February 1, 1971 <br />REEL 33 - SIDE 2, TRACT 1 -- FOOTAGE 160 - 1390 <br />REEL 33 - SIDE 1, TRACT 2 -- FOOTAGE 00 - 40 <br />Mayor Walter A. Benson called the Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town <br />of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:48 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, <br />26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members answering roll call: <br />Present: Councilmen Corbett, Davey, Grabowski, Helgesson and Mayor Benson. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE: Commissioner Don Spencer <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1: <br />Immediately after convening, Mayor Benson adjourned the meeting to a Litigation <br />Session to discuss pending zoning litigation with Mr. Robert Anderson, whom the <br />Town retained as its legal counsel in the suit filed by the Confederacion de Is <br />Raza Unida. <br />The meeting was reconvened at 8:40 P.M. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1. Letter from Santa Clara County advised of Neary application to contract 143.29 <br />acres with the County under the Williamson Act. Staff noted the County will hold a <br />public hearing February 24, if anyone should be interested, since some of the land <br />possibly crossed taxing districts in which Tosco residents participate. <br />2. County Superintendent of Schools announced their Spring Conference of community <br />schools would be held February 26 and 27, 1971. <br />3. ABAG general assembly meets February 18, 1971. Mayor Benson will represent <br />the Town. <br />4. Palo Alto Planning Commission will hold a public hearing February 3, 1971 to <br />allow residents to express their attitudes as to what their impression of <br />Palo Alto should be.in 2000 A.D., in order that their Commission could plan <br />accordingly. <br />5. League of California Cities meets on February 11, 1971. <br />6. Staff noted FAA devised means of establishing a line of communication to allow <br />follow-up on noise generated from specific flights. <br />7. Reminder of Solid Waste Symposium to be held March 5, 1971 in San Jose. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 2: <br />SAHAKIAN, V. R. (V-348-70) Request for reduction of aide setback from 30' to 15', <br />Lot 526, Tract 53659. <br />Staff noted that after much study that the Planning Commission, at their January 25th <br />meeting, recommended that this Variance request be granted. <br />`9 <br />
