` 2. Mrs. J. D. Steers requested that the Council override the Planning Commission requirement that all material be submitted 14 days prior to an agended date when a continuance is granted. She noted that this automatically entailed a 30 day delay regardless of how minor the reason for continuance. Council requested that Staff study this request and advise. ORDINANCES: 1. Ordinance No. 181, Second Reading, an ordinance of the Town of Loa Altos Hills re: Noise. Staff noted that there had been some questioning of the maximum decibel limits allowable that are shown in Section 4 of this noise ordinance. Mr. Don Miller, former chairman of the Noise Abatement Committee, requested that if specific limits were concluded to be incorrect, that they be changed now so that the Council could proceed with the second reading. Since no one present objected, the Council agreed to proceed with the second reading of the ordinance and allow it to be amended later if deemed necessary. The City Attorney read the title of Ordinance No. 181, An Ordinance of the Town of Los Altos Hills Prohibiting Conduct which Produces Noise Levels which Exceed Specified Standards, Providing a Schedule for Implementation, and Prescribing Penalties for Violation. MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgeason moved, seconded by Grabowski and carried by unanimous roll call vote that further reading be waived. 6 MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Helgeason and carried by unanimous roll call vote that Ordinance No. 181 be adopted as read. WARRANTS: MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgeason moved, seconded by Grabowski and carried by unanimous roll call vote, that the warrants as presented in the amount of SIX TUOU'^ IID, FIVE 1?21LRED T .TPITTY `UTE DOLLAPS and thirty Wo cents ($6,529.32) be approved and the City Clerk authorized to draw the appropriate warrants. OTHER BUSINESS BY COUNCILMEN: 1. Councilman Helgesaon suggested that the Council, in accepting the resignation tendered by the Town Historian, Mrs. Florence M. Fava, express thanks for her many hours expended in compiling and maintaining the Town 'a historical records. Council concurred. MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesaon moved, seconded by Grabowski and carried unanimously that the City Attorney be requested to prepare a resolution of commendation for presentation at the April 5, 1971 meeting.
