` 2. Mrs. J. D. Steers requested that the Council override the Planning Commission <br />requirement that all material be submitted 14 days prior to an agended date when <br />a continuance is granted. She noted that this automatically entailed a 30 day <br />delay regardless of how minor the reason for continuance. Council requested that <br />Staff study this request and advise. <br />ORDINANCES: <br />1. Ordinance No. 181, Second Reading, an ordinance of the Town of Loa Altos Hills <br />re: Noise. <br />Staff noted that there had been some questioning of the maximum decibel limits <br />allowable that are shown in Section 4 of this noise ordinance. Mr. Don Miller, <br />former chairman of the Noise Abatement Committee, requested that if specific <br />limits were concluded to be incorrect, that they be changed now so that the Council <br />could proceed with the second reading. Since no one present objected, the Council <br />agreed to proceed with the second reading of the ordinance and allow it to be <br />amended later if deemed necessary. <br />The City Attorney read the title of Ordinance No. 181, An Ordinance of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills Prohibiting Conduct which Produces Noise Levels which Exceed <br />Specified Standards, Providing a Schedule for Implementation, and Prescribing <br />Penalties for Violation. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgeason moved, seconded by Grabowski <br />and carried by unanimous roll call vote that further reading be waived. <br />6 MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Helgeason and <br />carried by unanimous roll call vote that Ordinance No. 181 be adopted as read. <br />WARRANTS: <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgeason moved, seconded by Grabowski <br />and carried by unanimous roll call vote, that the warrants as presented in the <br />amount of SIX TUOU'^ IID, FIVE 1?21LRED T .TPITTY `UTE DOLLAPS and thirty Wo cents <br />($6,529.32) be approved and the City Clerk authorized to draw the appropriate <br />warrants. <br />OTHER BUSINESS BY COUNCILMEN: <br />1. Councilman Helgesaon suggested that the Council, in accepting the resignation <br />tendered by the Town Historian, Mrs. Florence M.
