L <br />curbs for controlling drainage in steep terrain and to keep cars off the <br />path was made with the advantage of rolled Curbs to allow bicyclists to <br />climb the curb when cars approach. It was noted that going towards Natoma <br />from Mt. Helen, (since there is no curb on that side), that paving the right <br />hand side 4' wider would allow bicycle traffic but should be weighed against <br />the additional cost of construction. <br />Mayor Benson requested Councilman Helgesson to review the plans with Staff <br />and provide recommendations and asked that the Pathway Committee also submit <br />their comments. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />1. Staff reported on review of Fairchild Landscape Plans. <br />2. Tentative date of April 26th was set for Council tour of Brisbane re- <br />cycling facilities. <br />3. City Attorney reported on Jackson litigation. <br />4. Town Engineer advised the Foster sewer hookup was completed. <br />( 5. Staff distributed the third quarter revenue and expenditure reports. <br />jr PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />1. Mr. A. M. Laws presented a suggestion to the Council that might serve as <br />an alternate solution to the Flood Control's concrete lined creekbeds. <br />2. Mrs. Laws voiced opposition to the garbage rate increase. <br />3. Mrs. N. L. Prentice, 27750 Edgerton Road invited the Mayor and Council <br />to opening day activities at the Little League Field on April 24, 1971. <br />RESOLUTIONS: <br />1. Resolution No. 616 -- Establishing rules and procedures re: Williamson <br />Act. <br />Staff noted the Council had reviewed this resolution last meeting and in <br />response to their requests the Planning Commission had also reviewed it and <br />with the exception that the second sentence of Section 12 be deleted, had re- <br />commended approval. <br />City Attorney revised Section 12 and read the title of Resolution No. 616, <br />A Resolution Establishing Rules Governing Administration of Preserves and <br />Procedures Relating to the Implementation of the California Land Conservation <br />Act in the Town of Los Altos Hills. <br />CoTICN' SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by <br />Corbett, and carried by unanimous roll call vote (Grabowski absent) that <br />further reading be waived. <br />-3- <br />
