42, <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 5: Signing on E1 Monte cont'd.: <br />Memorial sign on E1 Monte Road be relocated. Council concurred and requested <br />Staff to proceed on this matter. <br />NOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Fowle <br />and carried unanimously by roll call vote, that the City Council accept and <br />approve the recommendations of the Law Enforcement Committee and authorize <br />expenditures not to exceed $500.00 for installation of new signs. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 6• <br />REQUEST CE ARENS-ADAMS, FREMONT ROAD, TO ACCEPT DEDICATIONS AND ALLOW PARCEL <br />MAP TO BE FILED. <br />Staff report was presented noting the request was for the Town to accept a <br />30' road dedication and 10' path easement along Fremont Road frontage <br />located at 26966 Fremont Road. If the dedications are accepted, Mr. Arens <br />also requests to be allowed to file a Parcel Map in lieu of a Final Map. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Fowle <br />and carried unanimously, that the City Council approve acceptance of the <br />road dedication and path easement, subject to the requirements of a $50.00 <br />deposit for engineering services. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Fowle <br />and carried unanimously, that the request of Mr. Albert L. Arens to allow <br />filing of a Parcel Map be approved. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 7: <br />REQUEST OF R. DOMENIE TO DECLARE SLIDE AREA OFF ANACAPA DRIVE A PUBLIC <br />NUISANCE. <br />City Attorney stated action is presently before the courts requesting the <br />Court to declare this matter a public nuisance. City Attorney recommended <br />the City Manager be instructed to respond that the Town does not deem the <br />situation to constitute a public nuisance. <br />Council discussion ensued, with Floor participation by Lino Guslani, attorney <br />representing Stanley Bishop, who stated Mr. Bishop had no intent to grade <br />without a permit and the plans will be submitted for approval prior to any <br />further grading in the vicinity of the Anacapa slide. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Benson moved, seconded by <br />Helgesson and carried unanimously, that the above recommendations of the <br />City Attorney be approved. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 8: <br />PATHWAY COMMITTEE REPORT TO COUNCIL. <br />Mrs. M. Saviano, Pathway Committee Chairman, submitted report dated <br />December 30, 1969 to the Council outlining past achievements and present <br />objectives. Council accepted the report with appreciation. Mayor Aiken <br />expressed his support for the present policy of concentrating on present <br />problem areas. <br />-5- <br />
