L CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MIM77ES CF A REGULAR MEETING <br />October 19, 1970 <br />REEL 29 - SIDE 2, TRACK 2 ..- FOOTAGE 00-540 <br />Mayor Walter A. Benson called the Regular Meeting of the City Council of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:45 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members <br />answering roll call: Present: Councilmen Corbett, Daveys Grabowski. <br />Helgesson and Mayor Benson. Absent: None. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE: Commissioner Don T. Hibner <br />1. Resolution from Palo Alto urged support of Proposition A (Nass Transit) <br />on the November ballot. <br />2. Pacific Gas and Electric Co. letter noted their first underground district <br />in the Town had begun along Fremont Road, between St. Francis and <br />Concepcion. <br />3. Letter from Planning Policy Committee accompanied their annual report, <br />which is on file at Town Hall. <br />4. Bulletin from League of California Cities advised of major propositions <br />on November ballot. <br />5. Town's letter to Senator Bradley, which requested that he ask the State <br />Attorney General for a reading as to what services the Sheriff's Depart- <br />ment is obliged to provide for the tax monies paid, was returned by his <br />aides with the notation that the question should properly be directed to <br />the Sheriff's Department. Council directed the City Manager to call <br />Senator Bradley to clarify this misunderstanding. <br />6. Letter from Sempervirens Fund requested Council action urging community <br />support of their upcoming Art and Photo Show at Foothill College from <br />November 2 through 25. Council requested the City Attorney to prepare a <br />resolution for presentation later in the agenda. <br />1. Councilmen were invited to join the field trip to Matadero Oaks on <br />Saturday, October 24. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 3: <br />REPORT ON JUAN PRADO MRSA ADOBE. <br />Staff advised that in spite of much work done by the Town Engineer in an <br />attempt to positively locate the site of this historic adobe, its location <br />cannot be conclusively determined as to which one of three suspected knolls <br />A:' within a 700 to 800' radius is actually the site. only one of these knolls <br />is located within the Two. Staff advised that should additional informs - <br />tion be received to indicate that the site is the one within the Town, the <br />owner of this property would be receptive to placing an historical marker <br />upon it. <br />
