Submitted Expenditure Report for the quarter ending September 30, 1968, <br />noting Town expenditures were well within budget guideline. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1. <br />PRESENTATION OF ENGINEERING REPORT - SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT #5. h 5 <br />(Page Mill Estates and Matadero Hills) <br />City Attorney introduced and read in its entirety Resolution No. 480, a <br />resolution of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills of intention <br />to acquire and construct improvements - Sewer Assessment District #5. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Helgesson, <br />that Resolution No. 480 be adopted as read, was carried by the following <br />roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen Davey, Helgesson, Deputy Mayor Benson. <br />Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Fowle, Mayor Aiken. <br />City Manager introduced Mr. George Cook, representing Charles S. McCandless C/ <br />& Co., City Engineer, who submitted the Engineering Report for Sewer Assess- <br />ment District #5. Mr. Cook stated that the proposed district included a <br />total of 61 lots located in Page Mill Estates and Matadero Hills subdivisions. <br />Mr. Cook reviewed the Engineering Report noting that the total cost of the <br />district would be $170,800, which would result in an assessment of $2,600 <br />L per unit of benefit. <br />City Manager noted that the $2,800 per unit cost included $450 for Palo Alto <br />treatment rights, the same amount as that paid by property owners in Sewer <br />Assessment District #3. <br />Mr. Thomas Marshall, 25560 Altamont Road, inquired as to the advisability <br />of proceeding with a new assessment district while litigation is still <br />pending in Sewer Assessment District #2. City Attorney stated that no <br />in -tract sewer lines are involved in Sewer Assessment District #5 and that <br />this district cannot be equated to Sewer Assessment District #2. <br />Council discussion ensued concerning application of the Town sewer policy <br />and City Attorney stated that the proposed boundaries could be modified at <br />the time of Public Hearing. <br />City Attorney introduced and read in its entirety Resolution No. 481, a /-75 <br />resolution describing proposed boundaries of assessment district and <br />directing recordation of notice of assessment, Sewer Assessment District #5. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Helgesson, <br />that Resolution No. 481 be adopted as read, was carried by the following <br />roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen Davey, Helgesson, Deputy Mayor Benson. <br />Noes: None.
