NEW BUSINESS: Gas Tax Engineering Budget (Contd.). <br />l-) in its entirety by the City Clerk. <br />ACTION: <br />Adopt Resolution No. 258 as read. <br />MOTION: Fowls; SECOND: Aiken <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Aiken, Bowler, Fowle, Henley <br />Mayor Clayton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />VARIANCES: <br />Overhead Service Lead-ins. <br />Inasmuch as the Planning Commission, in their recommendation of <br />January 13, 1964, asked the council for an established policy to <br />follow regarding overhead service lead-ins, it was the opinion of <br />the Council that such a criterion should be discussed and resolved <br />before taking any action on the variances scheduled on the Agenda. <br />However, before beginning any lengthy discussion, it was with the <br />consent of all parties concerned that the last item on the Agenda <br />should be acted upon first. <br />DIVISIONS <br />OF LAND: Final Maps: <br />1. James <br />Hill, Tract No. 3609 <br />- Engrs. Lutes & Associates. <br />ACTION: <br />That the Final Map of James Hill, Tract No. 3609, <br />be approved. <br />MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Bowler; VOTE: Passed unanimously. <br />VARIANCES: <br />Overhead Service Lead-ins. <br />In an effort to arrive at an established policy on overhead service <br />lead-ins, Councilman Aiken submitted a written report dated January <br />20, 1964. Said report, aesthetics, the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation of January 136 and the problems involved were <br />thoroughly discussed, with the following action to be directed to <br />the Planning Commission: <br />ACTION: <br />That the Council advise the Planning Commission that a <br />request for variance from the service lead-ins for <br />underground utilities would be looked upon with favor, <br />providing no additional poles are erected by reason <br />of the variance being granted, and that the wires are <br />strung from poles from the rear of the lot and screened <br />from view. <br />-3- <br />
