ANNOUNC3MENTS• <br />1) The Mayor announced the formation of a Town -wide Drainage Committee 62 <br />consisting of members Leslie A. Helgesson, Francis J. Jean, Albert R. <br />Clark, and Clyde C. Shaw, who have been charged to advise the Council on <br />drainage problems in the Town and assist the Planning Commission when <br />called upon to do so. <br />2) Inter -City Council Monthly Dinner Meeting on Thursday, October 5, 66 <br />1967, Host City of Monte Sereno, to be hald at the Plumed Horse, <br />Saratoga, at 3:00 P. M., was announced by the City Manager, <br />3) At the suggestion of Councilman Davey and with the concurrence of 66 <br />the Council, the City Manager was instructed to obtain a film on under - <br />grounding of utilities, "Poles Coxae Tumbling Down", to be shown before a <br />Council meeting, and to ?ully publicize the date and time of the showing <br />so that the public may be fully informed and invited to attend, <br />4) The City Attorney announced that the Public Hearing regarding Ordin- 72 <br />ante No. 127, adopting various codes, was publicized as being heard at <br />8:00 P. M., and requested the Mayor to open the Public Hearing at this <br />point and continue it to 9:00 P. hi. as stated on the Agenda. The Mayor <br />so directed. <br />DISCUSSION OF RECENT CHANGE IN COUNCIL MINUTE PROCEDURES - Councilman 76 <br />OBenson. '— <br />Councilman Benson stated this item was on the Agenda at the request of <br />many residents in the Town that Council Minutes be recorded with back- <br />ground discussion, as well as the action taken. <br />MOTIO14: Motion by Councilman Benson, seconded by Councilman Aiken, <br />that the Council go back to the previous method of record- <br />ing Council Minutes. <br />Council discussion followed. <br />City Manager read written communication from Mrs. R. W. Towle, 26493 Weston <br />Road, objecting to the lessening of contents of Minutes. <br />Oral testinoney from the Floor in favor of the Motion was heard from: <br />Messrs. Bill Marsh, 25541. Altamont Road, Thomas H. Marshall, 25560 Altamont <br />Road, E. C. Railey, 13482 La Cresta Drive, and Mrs, D. Spencer, 27490 <br />Sherlock Road. <br />General oral testimony from the Floor relating to the discussion was heard <br />from: Mmes. D. A. Miller, 13076 Vista del Valley Court, P. Weisbart, 27709 <br />Via Ventana, and Messrs. E. A. Breyman , 13456 Wildcrest Drive, and G. E. <br />Bowler, Planning Commissioner. <br />The Mayor directed the City Manager to obtain an estimate of the cost to <br />transcribe the tape of a full Council meeting. <br />Motion failed by majority Voice Vote: Ayes: Councilmen Aiken, Benson. <br />Noes: Councilmen Davey, Fowles Mayor Henley.
