STAFF REPORTS: Sewer District Preliminary Renort (Cont'd.): - <br />Following discussion, Council stated it is prepared to assist <br />with the technical data and make it possible for the .residents <br />to proceed; however, the Council will not impose costs and <br />the motivation for an assessment district mustcome from <br />interested citizens. Mr. C.Walter offered his help. <br />ACTION: <br />That the City Engineer report at the February %u <br />meeting .with a more detailed report on the-basis <br />of-larger pipes anda larger district, the pipes <br />to be large enough to take care of all of the <br />proposed area, and <br />That the City Engineer prepare a soils report on <br />areas which are contenders for this assessment <br />district. <br />MOTION: Aiken; SECOND: Fowle; VOTE: Passed unanimously. <br />OLD _BUSINESS: <br />1. Traffic Study - Councilman Aiken. <br />Deferred to February '7Lh meeting since the pertinent traffic <br />reports were not available for this meeting. <br />VARIANCES: <br />1. Price, John T. (V-244-65) - Reduction of Setback.' <br />City. Manager reviewed Planning Commission recommendations. - <br />Although the setbacks and the nature of the drive will not im- <br />pinge upon anyone's views Commissioner Hibner, Planning <br />Commission representative, explained he felt there was aproblem <br />of 'a -fire. hazard in that the existing parking area is skimpy <br />and will not be improved by the setback reduction. <br />ACTION: <br />That the request of John T. Price (V-244-65) <br />be approved as recommended by the Planning <br />Commission. <br />MOTION: Clayton; SECOND: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously.. <br />Mr. Joel E. Bowman, architect representing Mr. Price; assured <br />Commissioner Hibner the required 800 square feet of -..parking <br />area could be provided. <br />- AMENDED MOTION: <br />That the parking area, exclusive of the access, <br />U circulation, and garage shall have a minimum of <br />..800 square feet of surfaced area. <br />AMENDED BY: Clayton; ACCEPTED BY: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unam- <br />_2_ inously. <br />
