GENER6L M[JNICIFAI ELECTION: <br />(a) Ballots of the General Municipal Election, held <br />April 12, 1966, were canvassed.. <br />Resolution No. 346, a Resolution of the City Council of <br />the Town of Los Altos Hills, declaring the result of its <br />canvass of the precinct election returns of the General <br />Municipal election held on April 12, 1966, was introduced <br />and read in its entirety by the City Attorney. <br />ACTION: <br />Adopt Resolution No. 346 as read. - <br />MOTION: Bowler; SECOND: Aiken <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Aiken, Bowler, Mayor Henley <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Clayton, Fowle <br />(b) Administration of Oath of Office. <br />Oath of Office was administered to Mary C. Davey by the <br />City Clerk. City Council extended congratulations to the <br />newly elected Councilman. <br />It was noted at this time the offices of Mayor (2 -year <br />term) and Deputy Mayor (1 -year term) will be vacant in <br />May, 1967 and May, 1966, respectively. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />1. Law Enforcement Committee: Re Swimming Pool Fencing. <br />City Manager read letter dated April 8, 1966 from Mr. A. E. <br />Corduan, Chairman of the Law Enforcement Committee, replying <br />to the City Council's request of February 21, 1966 that the <br />above subject be added to its overall safety program, and <br />therein stating it was the concensus of the Committee that the <br />problem was more directly related with the Planning Commission <br />function, as well as the City Attorney's office regarding the <br />legal aspects of such an ordinance. _ <br />Mayor referred this matter to the Planning Commission for their <br />early advice. <br />Since it was through a request from a worried father of a young <br />child that Councilman Bowler brought this matter before the <br />Council, he requested that the Flanning Commission give <br />considerable thought to this complex problem, keering in mind <br />the Town's responsibility to the parents of young children. <br />-2- <br />
