• • RESOLUTION NO. 80-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF RETURNS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2008 FOR THE ELECTION OF THREE MEMBERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL WHEREAS, on May 22, 2008, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills duly passed and adopted Resolution No. 26-08 specifying the date of the General Municipal Election which was held in the Town of Los Altos Hills on November 4, 2008; and WHEREAS, said General Municipal Election was held on Tuesday,November 4, 2008, in the Town of Los Altos Hills for the purpose of electing three members to the City Council of Los Altos Hills, and the returns of this election have been determined and declared in all respects as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as follows: 1. The City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills is hereby instructed to enter this resolution in the minutes of this Council as a statement of the result of this election. 2. The total number of ballots cast in the Town at the General Municipal Election of November 4, 2008 was 5,250 ballots and a full and correct copy of the statement of results of said election for Council seats as canvassed and certified by the County Registrar of Voters is attached hereto as Attachment 1 and incorporated herein by reference. 3. That at said election Rich Larsen, Jean Mordo and Ginger Summit received the highest number of votes for which each was a candidate, and these persons were thereby elected to the office of Councilmember for full four (4) year terms. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to sign and deliver to Rich Larsen, Jean Mordo and Ginger Summit, a Certificate of Election and to administer to them the Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California.
