411 <br /> require the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated over- <br /> head structures, and the underground installation of wires and <br /> facilities for supplying electric, communication or similar or <br /> associated services within the area described in Exhibit "A" , <br /> and such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility . <br /> District No. 3, <br /> The Council HEREBY FURTHER FINDS AND DETERMINES as follows : <br /> The Underground Utility District herein created is in the <br /> general public interest for the following reasons : <br /> 1. The undergrounding to be accomplished will avoid or <br /> eliminate an heavy unusually concentration of over- <br /> head <br /> head distribution facilities; and <br /> 2 . The streets, roads, or rights of way in the District <br /> are extensively used by the general public and carry <br /> a heavy volume of pedestrian or vehicular traffic. <br /> IT IS HEREBY FURTHER ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the following <br /> exceptions in said Underground Utility District No., 3 be and they <br /> are hereby authorized: <br /> (a) Any municipal facilities or equipment installed <br /> under the superivision and to the satisfaction of <br /> the City Engineer. <br /> (b) Poles , or. electroliers used exclusively for street <br /> lighting. <br /> (c) Overhead wires (exclusive of supporting structures) <br /> crossing any portion of the above-described District <br /> within which overhead wires have been prohibited/ or <br /> connecting to buildings on the perimeter of said <br /> -2- <br />
