WHEREAS the 'principles of regional land use policies are contrary to <br /> the principles of one-man - one-vote in that the majority of policy makers <br /> and policy enforcers are not elected by the individuals affected; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the land use policy will have the effect of abdicating local <br /> planning and zoning responsibilities and controls to unknown, non-elective <br /> foreign State and Federal agencies and bureaus. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of <br /> the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby oppose the incorporation of land <br /> use policies in any form in the ABAG Air Quality Maintenance Plan for their <br /> Environmental Management Plan and does urge all cities and members of ABAG <br /> to vigorously oppose the inclusion of these policies. <br /> Passed and adopted this 15th day of March , 1978 <br /> APPROVED: <br /> ATTEST: CITY COUNCIL <br /> (:!:: <br /> City =Clerk= Mayor <br /> I do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and <br /> regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of the Town <br /> of Los Altos Hills this 15th day of March , 1978, by the <br /> following roll call vote: <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> - - <br /> City C:Ier <br />
