ORDINANCE NO. 290 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE TOWN OF LOS <br />ALTOS HILLS AMENDING CHAPTER 1 ENTITLED "ANIMALS" <br />OF TITLE 6 OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE <br />The City Council of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills, <br />County of Santa Clara, State of California, DOES ORDAIN as follows: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. <br />Section 6-1.106(2) hereby is added to Chapter 1 of Title 6 <br />of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code to read as follows: <br />Section 6-1.106(2). ADDITION OF SECTION B4-32; <br />ADOPTION OF ANIMALS. <br />Section B4-32 is hereby added to the Animal Control Code to <br />read as follows: <br />Sec. B4-32. Adoption of Animals. <br />(a) Any person adopting an unspayed or unneutered <br />dog or cat from any humane society animal shelter, public <br />pound or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals <br />shelter in the County of Santa Clara shall have said <br />animal spayed or neutered on or before a date specified in <br />the adoption agreement unless a licensed veterinarian <br />states in writing that the date specified in the adoption <br />agreement is inappropriate for the animal in question. On <br />submission of such written statement to the person at such <br />shelter or pound responsible for insuring compliance with <br />this section, the adoption agreement will be modified <br />accordingly. <br />(b) Violation of this section shall be deemed to be <br />an infraction and shall be punished in accordance with Sec. <br />B4-48. <br />
