%0 V imposing upon the Town of Los Altos Hills any liability or responsibility for damages resulting from defective building, plumbing or electrical work; nor shall the Town of Los Altos Hills or any official or employee thereof be held as assuming any such liability or responsibility by reason of the inspections authorized hereunder. SECTION 8: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance or the Codes hereby adopted shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed $500.00 or by imprisonment in the facilities then in use by the Town of Los Altos Hills as a jail for not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each separate day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this Code occurs or continues shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction thereof shall be pun- ishable as herein provided. SECTION 9: The erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, movement, improvement, removal, conversion, demolition, equipping, use, occupancy, or maintenance, of any contrary to any of the provisions hereof building or structure within the Town of Los Altos Hills, is hereby declared to be and constitute a public nuisance, and to be subject to abatement as such. The owner of the premises in- volved in any such public nuisance shall be responsible for payment to the Town of Los Altos Hills of any and all costs incurred, including reasonable attorneys' fees, in the abatement of any such nuisance, and all such costs shall be charged as a special assessment against the land upon which the building or structure is located and shall be collected in the manner pro- vided for special assessments.
