430 40 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 147 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA, <br />PROHIBITING THE OPERATION UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND PRIVATE <br />ROADS OF UNLICENSED VEHICLES AND OF MOTOR VEHICLES BY <br />UNLICENSED PERSONS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION <br />THEREOF, BEING AN URGENCY MEASURE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES <br />HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Definitions. Unless the provision or con- <br />text otherwise requires, these definitions shall govern the <br />construction of this ordinance. <br />(a) Driver's License. "Driver's license" means a <br />license to operate motor vehicles duly issued by the Depart- <br />ment of Motor Vehicles of the State of California, and shall <br />include both an operator's and a chauffeur's license. <br />(b) Implement of Husbandry. An "implement of husbandry" <br />is a vehicle which is used exclusively in the conduct of agri- <br />cultural operations. An implement of husbandry does not <br />include a vehicle which is designed primarily for the trans- <br />portation of persons or property on a highway. <br />(c) Farm Tractor. A "farm tractor" is a tractor which <br />may be used on a highway to draw a farm trailer carrying produce <br />or carryingother implements of husbandry, between farms or to a <br />processing or handling point and returning with or without the <br />trailer, but which otherwise is itself an implement of husbandry. <br />(d) Motor Cycle. A "motor cycle" is any motor vehicle <br />other than a tractor having a seat or saddle for the use of <br />the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels <br />in contact with the ground and weighing less than 1,500 pounds, <br />except that four wheels may be in contact with the ground when <br />two of the wheels are a functional part of a sidecar. <br />I GDRIO & FAISANT <br />-I- <br />200 THIRD <br />L ITOB•C <br />
